This is another tragic event at cadwell. Last years incident was not avoidable as startline incidents are always, unfortunately, a possibility. This years incedent could have easily been avoided, when i raced at cadwell in july i noticed the lack of run off at the gooseneck and i that on the other side of the barrier is about a mile of grass! the barrier could be moved back easily and a proper gravel trap could be installed. The woodland section at cadwell will always remain dangerous as there simply is no more room to move barriers back so Cadwell Park will always remain a dangerous track for motorcycles. Its a shame to lose another great rider and i have great sympathy for the martin family, hopefully chris martin will go on to have 2 great rounds to finish the season.
