England's James Toseland continues to be the man to beat in the 2007 WSBK championship.
Race one was an epic battle between JT & Yamaha mounted Noriyuki Haga, who came from 15th place on the grid to the front within a lap with the usual suspects of Bayliss, Corser, Lanzi & the resurgent Xaus all in tow.
After some great racing with Xaus, Haga, Bayliss & Toseland taking turns in the lead, it was the brilliant Toseland taking race 1 in style, showboating to the Dutch crowd on the final lap ahead of a very impressive 2nd place for Haga.
3rd place went to Xaus, who finished ahead of the Xerox factory team of Bayliss & Lanzi.
Troy Corser looked to get some decent points until he had a massive off with a lap to go due to a mechanical failure on his Yamaha.
Max Biaggi had a tough race one finishing in 6th.

Race 2 was a must win scenario for Troy Bayliss as he needed a maximum points haul to have a hope of challenging James Toseland for the 2007 WSBK crown.
However, it was Max Biaggi getting the holeshot off the line, but was soon punted back by Toseland & Bayliss.
Haga nailed yet another start, breaking the lap record chasing down the leaders from his 4th row start.
Six laps in Haga caught and passed Troy Bayliss for second place. Biaggi had also passed both Lanzi and Corser to take fourth. Like the previous round, Biaggi had warmed up by the second race & looked like a man in contention for a race win.
Haga & Toseland rode away from Bayliss, as they fought for first place. Bayliss closed on the two leaders in the next couple of laps with Bayliss taking 2nd place & lined up Haga for a pass when Toseland dived under Bayliss & regained 2nd.
Sadly, the mechanical gremlins that caused a nasty accident for Corser in race 1 found their way into Haga’s machine & at half race distance 1st placed Haga pulled off the circuit & parked his Yamaha. A very sad way for Haga to end what had been a brilliant race 2.
Now it was Toseland & Bayliss up front with Biaggi 1.5 seconds behind.
Bayliss took the lead on lap with 9 laps to go & tried to break Toseland by riding very hard and putting in some of his fastest laps. But the effort was for naught as over the next couple of laps Toseland reduced Bayliss' lead to .2 of a second.
Sadly for Ducati fans, Lanzi crashed out with 3 laps remaining, promoting Corser to 4th place.
Toseland & Bayliss were on maximum attack with 2 laps to go, with Bayliss having a slightest advantage.
Bayliss was still in front by a bee’s diaphragm with 1 lap to go.
Bayliss held station on the last lap until a few corners before the flip-flop section when the JT made a brilliant overtaking move that sent the Dutch crowd wild.
Toseland held his advantage through the flip-flop section leading onto the right corner to the start/finish straight.
However, the race wasn’t over just yet.
Bayliss got fantastic drive from the 999 Ducati out of the final right corner; Toseland’s Honda pulled a power-on wheelie & ran just a foot off line, allowing Bayliss to have a tighter exit & the Ducati rider to claim race 2 by .009 of a second.
Max Biaggi finished 3rd ahead of Troy Corser.
Toseland has been simply brilliant this season & enjoys a healthy lead over Max Biaggi in 2nd place. With 400 points still up for grabs, the title is far from decided.
Bayliss, despite losing a finger & riding with severely bruised testicles shows that he is amazing on a Superbike & can outfox some the best in the world.
Bayliss & Toseland were a credit to themselves in the post-race interviews, with Bayliss stating within Toseland’s earshot that JT is "a man for the future"
