The mix editor from Blackhole Motorsports gives me an error when trying to extract moto.mix. After several tryes it extracts every file, but the game crashes when I try to race. The riders.mix extracts and works just fine. Also tryed compatibility mode. I use win2000. Please help me.

That be an odd one works for rider but not moto, mmmmmmmmm Did you do them in same folder? You need sbk_mixextractor and mixer.dll in same place. Try again m8, with these two files together and drag and drop moto.mtt onto sbk_mixextractor.

Mine does the same thing....both files are in the same location.
When I drag the file onto the mixextractor the DOS window comes up and starts going through the files, and then randomly you get an error message saying that the process will be terminated.
If I try a few more times (the completion is different each time) it will eventually finish.
But I too, cannot start a race. I can run in training just fine, but the program crashes when I try to enter a race.
I am running Win XP Pro.

I've tryed everything. The mixer.dll and the extractor are in the same folder. Thanks phear for the tip that it works in training. It is really odd.

try to extract the file .mix in a folder that it isn't the original of the game. That is, take the file .mix that you want to extract and copy this in another folder or ono desktop, it's the same thing. The use mix extractor to extract the file. So, take the new folder and put it in the original folder where was the file .mix tell me if you don't understand, i'll try to explain myself better. About windows xp, there is an unofficial patch available, maybe that can solve your problems.

Yes, that is how I have tried it actually....I have a folder in my root directory called SBK, and a folder called mix extractor in there. I copy the files over and the results are as I described above. I haven't spent much time on it as of yet. Tonight I might mess around with it a little bit to see if I can figure something out. Thanks for the help. -Josh

If using windows xp delete the moto and riders folders and others you have created. Right click on sbk_mixextractor and use win98 compatibility extract moto.mix and microriders.mix and others again. place in what files you want to change, ie moto.mtt. All done, enjoy.

I had the same problem. All you need to do is keep dropping it over the mix extractor. The error message will come up just close that and then drop it over again. After a while you should have all the files extracted.

Yes it works that way eventually, but afterwards you get a problem with being able to enter a full race (or at least I have had that problem, and so has the original poster of this message). The fix DazListic posted works wonders and takes like 2 seconds to do. -Josh
