Blade I think the physics are very good! I have not posted any times as my times are way off yours.
I would only tweak them very slightly as they are nearly there, you don't want to make the bikes too good.
But excellent job!!! Thank You!!!

those are some scrrenshots in Misano that should let u understand what i mean about "make bikes not too good" as tom said. look at telemetry!(on red the accelerator) with physics used in champ: with my physics: with physics used in champ: with my physics: are just an example.

Hello, my first post here. I´ve played this game since its first days and really like it, but actually, I think that it need changes, and one is the physics. I have test DucFreaks´physics and I think that they are too easy, I haven´t crash yet in a day testing. The main problem for me is too much grip front and rear. I dont believe that a real pilot can use maximum throttle in the middle of a turn when the bike is at the maximum inclination..., perhaps I´m so much critic in this my first post, but I want to explain my opinion, and I would like to test 8blade4 physics to help him in this difficult work of making this game more realistyc. My email :mimamema@gmail.com -- Please send me your physics (explain me how to instal them) and I will give you my opinion as soon as I can. Sorry for my english, I´m a Spanish in a world of english (internet) cheers

I wuld also like to test your phyisics.
jernej.gaiser@siol.net
I am making my own phyisics and wuld like to see what you did.
I am looking for a realistic set of phyisics, but so that you still can compete with the AI.
I made the front tire low side way easyer, now you cant even tuch the brake mid turn , but you still can trail brake, if u have a good angle on the turn. I like it very much ,its realistic , and you really need to time , if u want to outbrake the AI.The races are way more fun now, but also frustrating if u low side , on your own stupid mistake.
What gives me problem is the rear tyre phyisics. It looks like its imposible to alter them as i want. Blade , did you find the cfg file for the brake power ? Or the in game modyfyres for "extra brake power" ,"accelerator help",.......... I think there is still a filter on the throttle , hardcoded or soemthink. Because , why cant you spin your rear ,not on gras not on tarmac. The rear slips and bites , slips and bites,.....thats the problem i think , that the throttle control of the rear is cinda unrealistic and unsatisfying.
If u give the rear to much grip , there is no challenge and you can beat the AI easyer. Some control is needed , but not this high siding ,even if i gently tuch the gas.
Also tryed to make the bikes havyer and more powerfull, and now its a real challenge to drive this beast, they wheelie 1-2 gear and the rear wants to spin all the time. Real fun and the AI seem to use the extra power better then me. Having a real fun offline champion ship.
OT:I also want to make a sound mod , but the lack of sound samples , and the stupid SBK sound engine , witch uses 10 samples for "onload" and then plays them reverse for the "offload" sound.
I maneged to open the .eng file in a RBR designed tool , and can edit the markers position , but this aint important ...... I need samples 22 khz 16 bit mono........

I have tried out the physics and i am currently trying to find a good set up for the honda but at i am struggling as there is nearly no rear grip, you definetly need more rear cos im nearly high siding all the time

Ok i have pretty much done it but honda is very difficult. With default setup i think its impossible to complete a lap without a crash, with my own setup i did 1:35. Hoda is not stable at all!

with my setups, with 50% extra brakes, with Ducati i run about 1:33, with other bikes about 1:34. think that 1:34 is about the best time in Misano! So 1:35 it's not too slow. but i'm working again on Tyres file, when i have some free time, to let possible drive with wheels management too. and i'm stelly looking for brakes parametres. but u have to wait, beacuse i'm proceeding really slowly. but i have a good notice for u: last sunday i went to see SBK races in Misano, and i saw perfecly where direvers brake. so if i could find how to change brakes power i can also do a good work about it .

I'm going to start working on physics too. In this summer i found and understand a lot of interesting things about "Tyres" file. unfortunately nothing about brakes power, but i think that 50% extra brakes it's ok too. Now i'm working on Qualifing tyres, then i'm going to procced with soft, medium and hard. the only thing that makes doing physics difficult is that there are a lot of parametres.

hello everybody! Physics are almost done, i'm at a very good point! I think that my new physics are really great(ovviusly, i've done them! ), but i think that probably not everybody will enjoy them, because the game it's really more difficult now, and it's impossible to drive the bike without doing a good setup. i think that it's only more realistic now, that's all . i've tryed to make CPU faster, basing on 2002 championship lap times. Now i'm improving Qualifying tyres, and then i'm going to do other tyres refering on them. Then i'm going to test tyres with all bikes(i always used a Ducati since now) and in every track. Then physics should be done!

NEW PHYSICS' COMING SOON!!!! I've almost finished to work on my physics. i've to test tyres in some other track(always test in Misano and Assen), but i think that everything should be good. Now bikes can't be ride without a setting, so i'm going to post a table with setups for each track, to use them as reference to start with. I've tryed to make lap times similar then 2002 best laps, but of course not always that is possible. now wheels managing as a meaning: -Qualifying tyres let u run lap times about a second faster, but they last only 3 or 5 laps(depends from the track) -Soft tyres can run about the same time of qualifying, but they last about 10 laps -Middle tyres run about an halph a second slower then soft, but they last about 15 or 20 laps -Hard tyres let u run the same times then other riders(CPU), and let u do all the race without matters Front wheels lost traction more easly if u use an hard. see u soon, bye!
