Have you tried my last suggestion? When i had problems i was using an HP 7910 desktop pc. Out of curiosity, what letter(s) are assigned to your hard drive(s)?

On the game cd there should be a folder called AMD, copy and paste those files into EA Sports/Superbike 2001 folder, and overwrite. Good luck m8, we will get this game working for you.

Well I've narrowed it down a bit. It's somewhere in my laptop. I installed SBK2001 on my desktop and it worked like charm. Is there a way to go into the registry to delete any trace of the program ever being installed so that I can do a brand new install? I do have msn messenger and have added you to it.

This as become a tough one guys, hope someone else as some input, I have tried everything i know to help dave, but no sucess . I seem to think that he may have an operating system problem, so i have advised him to run xp setup and do upgrade, in case his laptop has dropped vital files. It just seems odd that it will not work, and when he installs the Xp patch it sets itself to win98/me compatibility straight away, which is also odd as the user normally gets to choose. If you guys can help please do.

Maybe stupid question as it was an easy fix for lots of people maybe you've tried it already but have you set your desktop resolution to 16 bit?
