Ok! Had another go at sbk with hamachi today and I have to say not to bad! pierrre blabla and me just did some testing at kyalami.Assen and brands hatch. It is important to have the physics patch installed and a good high speed connection. Yhe online code is not the best but game play was pretty good nonetheless.I tried to connect with Dorumotor but I guess his connection is to weak.Sorry doru we missed having you with us! Anywho we're trying again this friday jan 26 from 7:00 to 9:00pm gmt. Hope to see more people.Want to see if Hamachi can handle more than two players, should be cool!
best regards and good racing Mike X

Yes it worked quite well. I just experienced some minor lags when I was just following MikeX, which was quite annoying sometimes to brake. And 2 times the screen totally freezed with the engine sound still playing ; when it unfreezed, one of us was crashed. I just hope we could try the Hamachi virtual LAN on friday with some more people on friday 7pmGMT to 9pmGMT (I'll put a topic in the online race announce on the main forum page), but I saw in an older post from some people that they didn't manage to make SBK2001 work on Hamachi with 3 people connected ... it would be good to see if the new Hamachi version works bettter. Another thing about Hamachi : I saw on their web site that the FREE Hamachi encrypts datas before sending which can lower connection (bad for SBK2001 I guess). Unencrypt option is only on the NOTFREE Hamachi version And again about Hamachi I didn't really understand if the pc that creates the virtual LAN server on Hamachi has an importance regarding on the virtual LAN speed after ... because in our case it was Dorumotor who created it and he has a notsogood connection if I'm right. Maybe we should try with Mike creating a server

Sure Pierre! I dont mind at all being host. For some reason things are stable this way, maybe because of cable high speed connection. Also I have firewall deactivated.I'm running AMD 3300xp processor with 1gb ram and bfg Gforce 6600gt card so maybe that helps also.I can run all details maxed except real shadows which aren't good anyways imo. Ok see you later!

hey Pierre in hamachi I just clicked on the option that says ¨try hamachi premium¨ Its good for 30 days so we can see if pings are more stable on friday.Click on icon in lower right corner than preferences than uder acconunt licence. I guess maybe after 30 days we can just reinstall it and gey another 30 days!

Ok I'll try the premium option on friday to see if it makes an interesting change in the playing. I think you are dreaming Mike ... except maybe if you had done a copy of your registry before installing the premium version and restored it each time you reinstall, but now it is too late ... And when we connect Hamachi (before joigning a server), maybe it collects information about your Hamachi program and verifies if you are doing some tricks with Hamachi ... Anyway we will try Hamachi premium to see if it's better. And maybe you should creatre yourself the Hamachi server because of your high speed connection ... we will see ...

Hey to everyone this is friday 26 today. There an online race this evening (well depending where you're from ... ). We are at least 2 (Mike (Canada) and Pierre (Belgium)). Feel free to join us !!!! We are using Hamachi to play online. Type "Hamachi" on Google : you'll find it, this is a free virtual LAN program, free of spywares, viruses, etc, and really intuitive to use (when you install it, it explains you everything you have to know in short but effective words . So the rendez-vous is at 7pm, the Hamachi virtual server name is superbikes, and the password is test. Only the best will win !!! See ya !!!!!
